     Knowledge Exchange
At a time when we are racing against time to attain the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) - the need for Innovative ideas and experience sharing is ever greater. We need strong partnerships between imaginative individuals, Governments, civil society, academics, development professionals, and private sector to collectively exchange knowledge. We must remind ourselves that the world can indeed come together to solve difficult problems and provide creative solutions through knowledge exchange during these challenging times. Today, this exchange of path breaking ideas, and success stories form the field experimented by the strong willed poor are a strategic necessity in the fight against poverty. In the next 25 years, another two billion people will be added to the world's population, the great bulk of them in the developing countries. India, already home to more than a quarter of the world's poor people, quite obviously will continue to bear a large proportion of world poverty.
 
It is therefore imperative, that we find innovative solutions to combat poverty today. Through this medium we are humbly presenting one such forum for Knowledge exchange that will help us highlight how experiences can be transformed into systematic and operations-oriented learning exercises that will show new ways of enabling the rural poor people overcome poverty.
